1 Dead, 1 Injured After Wreck Near Hereford

One person is dead and another is injured after a wreck near Hereford Friday morning.
Just before 10:30, 62-year-old Martin Najera of Dumas was driving a semi, was traveling west on U.S. 60 in the outside lane attempting to turn right when a pick-up truck towing a Load Rite trailer, driven by 30-year-old Blayne Black of Hereford failed to control his speed and stuck the semi.
The passenger of the pick-up truck, 39-year-old Johnny McDonald, was pronounced deceased on the scene and Black was taken to the Hereford Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
