Amarillo police have released new details on a crash near 45th and Soncy that left two people dead and two others injured Friday night.

Around 8:57 p.m., officers responded to the crash near 45th and Soncy.

The Tahoe was driven by 23-year-old Dawson Pemberton 

Police say Pemberton drove through a red light and crashed into a Cadillac CTS, causing it to spin.

Police say a passenger in the Cadillac, identified as 20-year-old Aaron Cervantez of Dimmitt, was ejected from the car.

He died at the scene.

Police also say the driver of the Cadillac, identified as 18-year-old Edwin Macias, died at the scene from injuries received in the crash.

Another passenger in the Cadillac, an 18-year-old from Dimmitt, Alexander Rivera was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Pemberton was also taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

After the Tahoe crashed into the Cadillac, the Cadillac hit two other vehicles. None of the other drivers were injured.

Nine total cars were damaged in this crash.

Police say speed and alcohol are contributing factors in this crash.
