4th Of July: Plenty To Do In The Panhandle This Week
The Panhandle is full of things to do this week as we prepare to celebrate the 4th of July holiday.
Amarillo, of course, has the Independence Day +1 celebration set for Friday, July 5th at John Stiff Park. Park at the park and a shuttle service from Randall and Amarillo High Schools will start at 4 p.m.
Midway-style Events will get underway at 4:30. Live music at 6:30 with Randall King taking the stage at 8 p.m.
Fireworks and drones at 9:45. The music soundtrack can be heard on 97.9 KGNC FM

Canyon has a number of events going on, including Kicking it in Canyon with Mike Ryan, Wednesday night. That concert is set for 7 p.m.
The annual Lions Club Pancake breakfast begins at 7 Thursday morning at Cole Community Center in Canyon.
The Texas Outdoor Musical will have fireworks following every evening performance this week starting Tuesday in Palo Duro Canyon.
World Championship Mud Volleyball & Fireworks featured in Dumas Thursday. It all gets started at 8 a.m. in McDade Park in Dumas.
Pampa Park and Rec will hold the Firecracker 5K starting at the Freedom Museum on North Hobart. That event scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
It’s Party in the Park in Hereford Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. in Dameron Park. Among the festivities is a parade, concert by Insufficient Funds, and fireworks after dark.
