Amarillo Man Accused of Killing Four Year Old Boy

 An Amarillo man is accused of killing a 4-year-old boy.

Brady Dillon Michael Burkett, 29, was arrested in New York on a warrant out of Randall County, according to the Randall County Sheriff’s Office.

He’s charged with murder in the death of Wesson Grist.

Burkett was booked into the Randall County Jail on Thursday.

Grist died on August 6, 2022.

The indictment, filed June 12, 2024 says, Burkett “compressed” Grist’s body, causing his death.

It does not detail how the sheriff’s office believes Burkett did that.

But the sheriff’s office says  that “Burkett was a person of interest throughout the investigation.”

His bond was set at $750,000.
