A man is dead following a motorcycle crash Thursday night on Soncy Road.
Amarillo police report at 9;28 p.m., they were called out to a major crash at Bent Tree Drive and Soncy.
There they found 19-year-old Mikeal Donocvan Fierro, who had been operating a 2006 Kawasaki motorbike at a high rate or speed northbound on Soncy.
APD says a GMC SUV was driving southbound on Soncy and making a turn onto the south alley of Bent Tree Drive.
The motorcycle hit the SUV and Fierro died on the scene from injuries sustained.
APD says speed was a factor, and the Departments traffic investigation Division is
still looking into it.
