APD Investigate Thursday Homicide

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a homicide after responding to an aggravated assault and robbery.

At 9:40 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to an apartment complex in the 4100 block of SW 45th, where they found 23-year-old Kendrick Freeman with a gunshot wound.

Amarillo Police called for AMS and Freeman was pronounced dead on the scene.

JP Houdashell ordered an autopsy the  Next of kin has been notified and

APD’s homicide unit is investigating this incident.
