APD Investigating Two Separate Weekend Shootings

Two separate weekend shootings have left one person dead and one injured.

Saturday night Amarillo Police responded to a shooting in the 800 block of South Kentucky Street.

One person has been pronounced dead, and police are still searching for a suspect.

Sunday night at 8:30 p.m the  APD was called to a  shooting Sunday North Carolina and North West 11th Avenue.

A male was shot in the abdomen and was transported to the hospital.

Police continue to investigate both incidents.
