Attempted ATM Break-in at Happy State Bank With a Stolen Forklift

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery at a Happy State Bank early Thursday morning.

At 6:22 a.m. APD was called to the bank located on South Georgia Street.

Once on scene officer found that someone had hotwired a forklift and had rammed it into the drive-through ATM machine.

The suspect was, however, unable to get to the money inside and left the forklift at the scene.
