The City of Amarillo Community Development Department wants to help low-income homeowners with critical home repairs.

The Department’s CARE Program will help with repairs to improve the safety of homes and the health of homeowners. Repairs include air conditioning, heating, electrical failure, and plumbing issues

Qualifying homeowners can receive grant assistance up to $8,000 for a one-time repair project. Every qualifying applicant will be placed in a lottery draw to determine the order of project assistance.

The first round of applications for the program begins June 10 through June 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the City of Amarillo Community Development Office in the Simms Building, 808 S. Buchanan St.
