Amarillo has a new way to find out the concerns of it’s citizens. Council

Connect allows the public to speak to city representatives in a more relaxed  environment than the Council meetings.

The once a month meetings are being held the first Tuesday of every month. The next will be held on Tuesday at  5;30 P.M. at the Amarillo Public Library 413 Southeast Fourth Ave.

Council Connect allows public comment on topics, and allow city residents to discuss the issue with two councilmembers in a less restrictive environment. The public will still be able to address the Council during the regularly scheduled council meetings at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.

This week, Amarillo Mayor Ginger Nelson and Councilmember Freda Powell are scheduled to attend Council Connect.
