Fatal Crash in Sherman County

One person is dead after an early-morning crash on Wednesday.

Authorities say a truck-tractor towing a semi-trailer was traveling westbound on Farmed and Market Road 297 in Sherman County.

Gladys Xaipot-Lopez was traveling eastbound in a Dodge Grand Caravan on 297.

For an unknown reason, Xaipot-Lopez veered over into the westbound lane striking the semi. 

Xaipot-Lopez was pronounced dead on the scene.

The crash is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
