Fire Station #5 To Temporarily Be Housed at Station #9

As construction starts on Fire House #5, crews will be temporarily be housed at the old Station #9.

Thanks to Proposition 2, Station 5 will be the 3rd brand new firehouse for the Amarillo Fire Department.

The firehouse will have a modern design similar to the other two firehouses.

Prop 2 consisted of $20 million for upgrades and repairs to facilities at the fire department, Amarillo Police Department, Animal Management & Welfare and the Office of Emergency management.
