Hodgetown Wins Best New Construction in a city of 50,000 or More.
The Amarillo Sod Poodles home Hodgetown has won the 2019 President’s Awards Program of the Texas Downtown Association for Best New Construction in a city of 50,000 or more.
Hodgetown was nominated by Center City of Amarillo along with 119 other entries in 11 different categories from communities across the state.

City Manager Jared Miller, City Councilwoman Freda Powell, Beth Duke of Center City and Jerry Danforth, director of facilities and capital improvements were all in attendance to accept the award for the city of Amarillo.
In its first year, Hodgetown was also named Readers of Ballpark Digest winner in the Double-A Best of the Ballparks competition, the 2019 Texas League Championship in their first season and the 2019 Texas League Organization of the Year for 2019.
