International Aerospace Coatings (IAC) and Workforce Solutions Panhandle wants to generate more jobs to boost the area’s economy through an expansion deal.

IAC is one of the global leaders for independent aviation painting. The company currently occupies five hangars at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport and has generated over 160 jobs in Amarillo over the past 30 years.

Workforce Solutions officials say in addition to creating over 80 long-term jobs, it would also boost the local economy by purchasing supplies locally, and creating more taxes going back into the city.

IAC works closely with local colleges to provide entry-level training into the aviation field, as well as higher level training for current employees to provide better career opportunities in the local aviation industry.
