An Amarillo woman has been arrested and now faces federal charges after police found more than nine-pounds of meth in her home.
Elizabeth Galindo is charged with intent to distribute the drugs.
Police were investigating a series of drive-by shootings earlier this month, and their investigation led them to Galindo’s home. During the search, police found six-ounces of meth in a zip-lock bag in a dresser with her ID and social security card, four pounds of meth in another room, and five pounds of meth hidden inside tin cans in a third bedroom.
They also recovered several weapons from inside the home. At the time of her arrest, Galindo told police her 14-year old son was responsible for the drugs.
