A man suspected in taking part in the 2018 La Bella’s Pizza robbery has been indicted for murder.
A Potter County Grand Jury indicted 31-year-old Ruben Ryel Rios for the crime that took place on January 9th.
Rios and Clayton Jerrell Morgan tried to rob La Bella’s Pizza on Olsen but during the attempt,
Morgan pointed a weapon at an armed employee of the pizzeria who in turn shot him.
Rios fled the scene of the robbery but was caught after a second attempted robbery in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 4320 Canyon Drive.
Texas law permits people to be charged with murder if they take part in a crime in which another person is killed, even if they did not do the killing, according to police.
