Monday Sports Update – Cowboys Lose Third In A Row To Winless Jets
(East Rutherford, NJ) — The Cowboys’ losing streak is at three. Dallas fell behind by 18 points, rallied to pull within two points in the final minute, but a two-point pass to tie failed as it lost 24-22 at the Jets, who picked up their first win. Dak Prescott passed for 277 yards and ran for a touchdown in the loss. Ezekiel Elliott rushed for 105 yards on 28 carries, including a five-yard TD with 6:30 left. Brett Maher kicked field goals of 50, 62 and 32 yards for Dallas, which is home this coming Sunday against the Eagles.
Four Cowboys Injured In Loss
(East Rutherford, NJ) — Four Cowboys exited the Cowboys’ loss at the Jets with injuries. Cornerbacks Byron Jones and Antony Brown left with hamstring issues. Defensive end Dorance Armstrong left in the second quarter with a neck injury. Wideout Amari Cooper suffered a quad injury on the first drive and had only one catch for three yards.
Texans, Watson Win In Kansas City
(Kansas City, MO) — Deshaun Watson ran for two touchdowns and passed for another as the Texans overcame an early 14-point deficit to beat the Chiefs 31-24 in Kansas City. Carlos Hyde rushed for 116 yards on 26 carries and a touchdown against his former team. The Texans overcame three turnovers, a missed extra point and a missed field goal to improve to 4-and-2. Houston dominated time of possession, holding the ball just 12 seconds shy of 40 minutes. The Texans will play this coming Sunday at the Colts.

Astros Even Series, Top Yankees In 11 Innings
(Houston, TX) — Carlos Correa homered to leadoff the Astros’ 11th in a 3-2 walk-off win over the Yankees to even the ALCS at a game apiece. Correa also had a RBI-double in the second. George Springer homered in the fifth for Houston. Justin Verlander pitched into the seventh and allowed two runs on an Aaron Judge fourth inning homer. Josh James, the sixth Astros’ pitcher used, picked up the win.
Nationals Host Cardinals In NLCS Game Three
(Washington, DC) — The Nationals have a chance to close out the National League Championship Series at home as they host the St. Louis Cardinals in Game Three tonight. Washington leads the series two-games-to-none and each of the next two games will be at Nationals Park. Stephen Strasburg will get the start for the Nats tonight. Jack Flaherty takes the mound for St. Louis, which will try to stake a comeback on the road. The Cardinals’ offense has scored just one run in the series thus far.
Series Shifts To New York Tomorrow

(Lincoln, AL) — The 1000Bulbs.com 500 at Talladega Superspeedway was postponed to this afternoon due to heavy rain yesterday. Racers were directed down pit road on lap 57 in the fifth NASCAR playoff race. William Byron won Stage One and will lead today. Joey Logano was right behind him while Alex Bowman, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Brad Keselowki and last week’s winner, Kyle Larson, followed.

Baylor, meanwhile, climbed five spots to 18th after a 33-30 double-overtime victory over Texas Tech to remain undefeated. Texas A&M dropped from the rankings after being blown out by number-one Alabama 47-28 in College Station to fall to 3-and-3. In another area game Saturday, North Texas stumbled 45-27 at Southern Miss. West Texas A&M slipped past UT Permian Basin 14-10.
