Motorcycle Fatal

 One person has died and another person is in the hospital after a crash on West McCormick Road and South Western Street on July 4.

According to DPS, a pickup truck was driving south on Western while a motorcycle was driving west on McCormick.

Officials say the pickup driver failed to yield right of way at the stop intersection and drove into the motorcycle’s path.

The motorcycle then crashed into the pickup.

The driver of the motorcycle, identified as 61-year-old Jimmy Snider, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The passenger on the motorcycle, identified as 56-year-old Jean Snider, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
