The National Association of Realtors settlement will affect how real estate agents do business and commission rates.

Under the settlement, agents will no longer put the amount of commission on the Multiple Listing Service.

The other change calls for the buyer’s representation agreement to require agents to have a written agreement before showing a property.

The NAR settlement is designed to have the least amount of impact on the buyer and promote ethical transactions between agents and clients.

The settlement goes into effect on August 17th. And for more information, visit the National Association of Realtors website.
