One Suspect Killed In Attempted Robbery Of Convenience Store

The Amarillo Police Department has released the name of the suspect killed in an attempted robbery.
At 8:50 pm Friday night officers were called to D and T Food Mart at 1712 Northeast 24th and North Wilson Street on an armed robbery call.
Upon arrival, they found two subjects who had been shot. Both were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Further investigation revealed the two wounded subjects had entered the store with a shotgun and threatened to rob the store employee.
The store employee was not injured and this case is now being handled by the APD violent crimes unit.
