Power Lines Cause Wildfires in Dallam County

The Dalhart Volunteer Fire Department was called to a series of wildfires on Wednesday.

The fires broke out on US Highway 54 in Dallam County northeast of Dalhart.

At the scene of the fires, it was discovered that power line malfunctions caused the blaze. 

The grass fires were extinguished and Excel Energy was able to repair the lines.
