Safety Improvements Coming To Borger Railroad

Beginning Friday, September 27, Panhandle North Railroad will replace the train track at the intersection of North Florida Street and East 10th Street in Borger. The track is reaching the end of its service life and needs to be replaced.

The work is expected to be completed by Friday, October 4. Florida Street will be closed at the East 6th and East 10th street intersections during this time and traffic will be detoured to Cedar Street. Message boards and signs will provide further detour information for the traveling public.

Please drive with caution and reduce speed through all work zones. All projects are subject to change due to weather, emergency work and other unexpected events. Allow yourself enough time to safely reach your destination if these closures affect your commute.
