Sanctuary City For The Unborn

A proposed ordinance making Amarillo a Sanctuary Citizen for the Unborn has been tabled.

City Council on Tuesday took comment from the public on the proposal to make it illegal for abortion and abortion trafficking.

The city says 64 hundred of the over ten thousand signatures on the petition were valid.

Still, the City Council had differing views on certain amendments to the petition.

A public hearing over the matter has been scheduled for June 11, with a Council vote on June 25th.
