The regular meeting of the city council should be lively this afternoon. There should be plenty of eyes and interest on Non-Consent Agenda Items 9-F, 9-G, and 9-H, all involving public hearing and comment on – and discussion about – the Sanctuary City for the Unborn petition recently submitted to and vetted by the city.

There could also be some response to the press release issued by the city late Friday that informed the press and public there are two finalists for the City Manager position.

Lots of money is to be officially doled out to service providers, contractors and for software.

The meeting begins at 3 p.m. today and can be viewed online at amarillo.gov or and click ‘Watch City Meetings Online’ using the How Do I option at the top of the page.
