(Austin, TX) — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has sued a second county for their get-out-the-vote efforts. First it was in San Antonio. A lawsuit took issue with the use of tax-payer dollars to hire a firm that would send out unsolicited voter registration forms. Now, a second suit targets the Austin-area. Travis County Commissioners are using the same firm, which the AG claims is a subsidiary of a known partisan organization. The state’s top lawyer, today, also sent a warning to lawmakers in Houston, telling them to cancel a similar project to beef up the voter rolls. (Metro News)
