The new Commons at St. Anthony’s is now 60% complete with plans to move residents in this fall.

Work crews are now working on roofing, drywall, and flooring.

The building will provide 128 units of affordable rental housing, and will feature community gathering areas, fitness and business centers, and kitchens.

Historical aspects of the old hospital will remain, including the front sculptures and the original doors.

Before its renovations, the building had been the target of vandals, the homeless, and multiple fires.

 New electrical and new plumbing have been installed in the building in the building, and the projected cost of renovations to the building comes in at $24 million. Resident move-in is expected in the fall.
