One man is in custody after a 2 hour SWAT Stand-Off Sunday night.

At 7 pm Amarillo Police Officers were sent to the Treepoint Meadows apartments on a call of shots fired.

Once on scene authorities attempted to make contact at the apartment,

When they heard what they believed were two more shots. These officers then pulled back and notified a supervisor.

Police then heard what sounded like one more shot fired.

The APD’s Critical Incident Response Team was activated and negotiators tried to contact the suspected person by phone but were unsuccessful.

SWAT  surrounded the apartment and attempted to make contact by using a speaker.

A short time later a male suspect came out and surrendered to Law Enforcement.

There were no injuries reported and the incident is still under investigation by Amarillo Police detectives.
