Multiple-outlets report the former Packers head coach will replace Jason Garrett, who did not have his contract renewed after an 8-and-8 season. It is reportedly a five-year contract. McCarthy coached Green Bay for 13 years, including nine playoff berths and winning the 2011 Super Bowl at the Cowboys stadium.

Texans Will Meet Chiefs Sunday

(Houston, TX) — The Texans will meet the Chiefs Sunday in Kansas City in the NFL post-season Divisional Round. Houston advanced with a 22-19 overtime victory Saturday over Buffalo. The Texas whipped the Chiefs 31-24 on October 13th in Kansas City, which ended the season with a six-game winning streak to clinch its fourth straight AFC West crown. The AFC South champions Texans are 11-and-6 after their wild-card victory.

Doncic Has Triple-Double In Dallas Win

(Dallas, TX) — Luka Doncic had 38 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists as the Mavericks clipped the Bulls 118-110 in Dallas. Dwight Powell scored 16 points and Tim Hardaway Junior 15 for the Mavericks, who are 4-and-3 in their last seven games. The Mavs remain home tomorrow to host the Nuggets.

Hot-Shooting Spurs Cool Off Bucks

(San Antonio, TX) — DeMar DeRozan drained a game-high 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting as the Spurs cooled off the Bucks 126-104 in San Antonio. Patty Mills added 21 points off the bench and Trey Lyles yanked down 12 rebounds as the Spurs ended a two-game slide. San Antonio shot 19-of-35 from three, more than 54-percent.

Rockets Play Tomorrow Without Westbrook

Rhule Is Reportedly Front-Runner For Giants’ Job

(Undated) — Baylor head football coach Matt Rhule is reportedly the favorite to be the next coach of the New York Giants. He is scheduled to interview with the team today after interviewing last night with the Carolina Panthers. Rhule was born in New York City and was a Giants’ assistant coach in 2010. Rhule guided Baylor to a Sugar Bowl berth and an 11-3 record last season. Baylor has a buyout clause for Rhule that is supposedly more than 15-million dollars.

Tagovailoa Leaving ‘Bama For NFL Draft

(Tuscaloosa, AL) — Tua Tagovailoa is headed to the NFL. The Alabama quarterback announced his decision to enter this year’s draft, saying it was a difficult one. His season ended with a dislocated hip in November, but his recovery is on track. The Hawaiian helped ‘Bama win the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship.

Baylor Faces Demanding Basketball Week
