TxDOT Seeking Ways To Improve Safety Of Troubled Intersection

In the aftermath of accidents that have taken two lives in just the past week, the Texas Department of Transportation is busy coming up with ways to prevent further tragedies.

The area of focus and concern is the intersection of Loop 335 and Soncy.

According to the Texas Depart of Public Safety, 23 accidents have been reported at or near that intersection during the period of January to July of this year.

TxDot says it is working with local and area law enforcement, seeking input, gathering information to help them assess and design safety improvements moving forward.

Officers and other officials encourage drivers to use caution and obey posted speed limits with traveling through construction zones.
