(Los Angeles, CA) — Wildfires that are burning near Los Angeles slowed down on Thursday as cooler temperatures hit the area, but authorities say they still present a threat. The three fires in the area burned over 110-thousand acres after they were fueled by triple digit heat, high winds and dry vegetation. California’s largest wildfire at the moment, the Bridge Fire, impacted communities in the San Gabriel Mountains, which is around 40 miles from L-A. Around 50 miles east of the city, the Line Fire has burned 37-thousand acres in San Bernardino. And southeast of Los Angeles, the Airport fire has taken out homes and injured at least ten people.
