1 Dead, 1 Injured After Traffic Accident Caused By High Winds

One person has died after high winds over the weekend.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says high cross winds caused the driver of the ford F-150 to drift between multiple lanes Saturday morning near Umbarger.
When the driver tried to correct he lost control of the vehicle and drove into a ditch and rolled over.
The driver Diego Tomas of Dimmitt and a 4 year old were ejected from the vehicle.
They were both taken to a local hospital where tomas died and the 4 year old was left with serious injuries.
DPS says the child was not secured in a child passenger safety seat.
