The 100 Club of Amarillo has opened its doors to it new digs at the Golden Pond complex on Coulter.
The club’s mission is to assist first responders and their families in the event of an accident or tragedy in the line of duty.
The latest recipient of the 100 Club’s assistance is Officer Steven Kennedy, who was injured in the line of duty this past August.
Lyle Youngs is the suspect in the shooting, and he has remained in the Randall County Jail since September facing several charges and bond recommendations topping $1 million.
Lesser charges like possession of a controlled substance and resisting and evading arrest have bonds totaling $12 thousand.
