2 Separate Arrest Lead To Drugs, Fire Arms and Stolen Items Being Found

Two different traffic stops in Amarillo leads to the seizer of drugs on Monday.

During the first stop, APD officers witnessed a vehicle making several traffic errors and after the car ran a stop sign they were pulled over.

The driver and passenger were arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, possession of controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.

Police say the gun was stolen and APD Narcotics Agents were able to use information from the first stop to make a separate arrest.

The second stop resulted in the arrest of 31-year-old David Gwaltney who was wearing a belly band holster and had 4 other guns in the car.

He was charged with felon in possession of a firearm and manufacture/delivery of methamphetamine.

The passenger, 24-year-old Jessica Capps was arrested and charged with the manufacture/delivery of methamphetamine.

Police also found vials of liquid fentanyl and recent items stolen from vehicles.
