2nd Phase Of Western Street Improvements Starting Thursday

With the first phase of road improvements complete on Western Street, The City of Amarillo is ready to start phase two.
Starting March 10th, traffic will switch to the eastern half of Western Street.
Northbound and southbound traffic will use the newly paved lanes to allow the contractor to complete the western half of Western Street from 49th Avenue to 45th Avenue.
Residents should be aware of lane switches, posted signs related to construction and contractor personnel and equipment in work zones.
