The Regional Accelerator & New Growth Engine is getting a $35,000 grant from the Amarillo Area Foundation.

The grant will be used to improve internet access in the Panhandle, specifically the rural areas.

The Range will help Region 16 produce a needs assessment to bring high-speed internet to schools, businesses, farms, and ranches.

An AAF press release states the goal of the needs assessment is to attract more state and federal funding to the issue.
