AAMW Moves Locations OF Pet Vaccination

Kayla Sell, Outreach Manager for Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare said on Tuesday’s “The Chat” that distemper continues to plague the dog population and it seems to be getting worse.

Last Saturday, she says the city saw an overwhelming amount of dog owners looking for free vaccinations for their animals. She says they expected to see maybe one hundred animals but the line at the downtown library was so long it spanned for several blocks and they had to call in the Amarillo police to help with traffic flow.

Sell says they’ll be changing over to a new vaccination site possibly at the Tri-State Fairgrounds location and the times and locations will be published on the city’s website.
