AC To Serve As Texas School Ready Project Lead Agent

Amarillo College has been selected to serve as a Texas Panhandle for the Texas School Ready project lead agent.
The project has given Amarillo College a $500,000 grant to provide specialized training and resources to qualified Panhandle-area early child educators throughout the 2019 and 2020 school years.
The statewide project helps to improve the school readiness of at-risk children ages 3 and 4.
Amarillo College will add a “remote coach” whose main focus will be connecting with childcare in rural areas primarily through digital means and already employs 3 full-time coaches who administer the project.
