AFD Responds To Friday Night Fire

The Amarillo Fire Department was called out to the 1200 block of Sycamore Friday to find a structure on fire across from the original call.
Once on scene crews made entrance in a rear door to combat the blaze.
While looking for residence, a Thermal Imaging Camera was brought in and a resident was found.
The individual was brought to Amarillo Medical Services but was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fire is under investigation by the Amarillo Fire Marshal’s Office.
