AFD Responds To House Fire Wednesday Morning

The Amarillo Fire Department responded to a house near Northeast 22nd and Columbine Street early Wednesday morning.

Once one scene, crews found a large amount of smoke and flames coming from the rear of the house.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to one area and it was put out just before 6am.

The Red Cross was requested to assist the residents.

One person was seen by officials for minor smoke inhalation.

The Amarillo Fire Marshal’s Office did respond to the fire, but no findings have been released at this time.
