Alcohol And Speed Factors In Early Sunday Morning Crash

Two people are dead after one drove head first into another vehicle just before 2am Sunday.
The Amarillo Police Department was called out to the 8500 block of I-27 where Anthony Michael Lara had been driving a 2006 Nissan Armada southbound in the northbound lanes.
He drove head first into a 2012 Nissan Murano killing them both.
The Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department continue to investigate the crash but say alcohol and speed are factors in this crash.
