Amarillo City Council Opts To Approve AEDC 24/25 Budget With Constraints For Now

The Amarillo City Council held a special meeting Monday morning to take action on three primary items…the Public Improvement District items of which there were seven, renewing a one-year agreement with MaxorPlus LTD, and approving the 24/25 AEDC budget, which has been on hold since the council publicly addressed the matter of the $750,000 wire transfer so much in the news over the past couple months,

In the end, all were passed with a 4-0 vote, councilman Les Simpson (P4) was not in attendance.

The AEDC budget approved only using the resolution identified as Item 3.J which calls for approving the proposed AEDC operating budget only until the audit findings of U’neill Gerber are presented to the council Friday.
