Amarillo College to Host Media Day for High School Students

Amarillo College will hold a Media day for high school students across the Texas Panhandle. 

The event will take place at the Washingon Street Campus on Tuesday, October 22.

Students will get the opportunity to learn about the many careers in the media industry.

The workshops throughout the day will cover photography, graphic design, news writing, social media, video production, and more. 

It will be sponsored by AC’s Mass Media Program, the Texas Association of Journalism Educators, West Texas A&M University, Panhandle PBS, and FM 90.

Doctor Kenna Griffin will be the guest speaker.

Griffin’s professional experience includes nearly two decades of teaching and advising in the field.
