45-year-old Mandis Charles Barrow has been sentenced to life in prison for trafficking methamphetamine.

Barrow, described as an Amarillo drug trafficker, was sentenced Thursday by Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, who issued the life sentence based on the defendant’s long and violent criminal history starting when he was 18, Barrow engaged in drug trafficking and violence his “whole adult life.”

The conviction that led to Barrow’s sentence Thursday was one count of conspiracy to distribute or possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of meth, one count of distribution and possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of meth and one count of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of meth.
