Amarillo Landfill Expansion

The City of Amarillo is planning on expanding the city landfill for future use.

The city is thinking about building a tenth cell which is an open area to dump in.

Twelve cell areas are now available and so far two have been completely filled, and the city is using the third and fourth cells, and building the fifth cell, or cell #10.

This should add 10 to 15 years of additional life to the landfill. 

The estimated cost to add the new cell is estimated at $4 million dollars
