Much of the recent news coming out of the Ukraine has been centered on children suffering in wartime, but an Amarillo organization is focusing on the whole families in need in the area.
The Christian Relief Fund provides food, clothing, clean water, education, healthcare counseling and disaster relief worldwide, and they are also helping refugees in Romania.
The problem the group has is having communications with their Ukraine headquarters. CRF officials say a lot of fighting in Kiev has gone on within a few blocks and they have had to move kids around just to keep them safe.
Because communication is just about non-existent, it’s hard to call, or e-mail somebody and find out what’s going on.
The CRF says they’re in need monetary donations and you can visit crf.com and donate to the Ukraine Relief Fund.
