APD and Crime Stoppers Investigating A Shooting On South Bowie

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on South Bowie Street.

Just after 8 pm on Tuesday, officers were called out to a home near South Bowie and West 24th Avenue and discovered an 18-year-old male with a gunshot to the upper body.

Authorities learned that two men broke into a home and started demanding items and before leaving one fo the men shot the victim.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
