APD Aware of Man Following Women in Their Vehicles

For the past few months, women in the Amarillo area have experienced scary encounters with a man following them in their vehicles. 

Multiple women have stated that a white male approached them in a parking lot and asked for their phone numbers. When they refused the man proceeded to follow them.

The Amarillo Police Department is aware of these incidents and has made contact with him, however, he has not been arrested because he did not break any laws.

APD wants to urge women that find themselves being followed or harassed by the man to call 911. Do not call a family member to take any action against him because it will put them in danger of legal action. 

He is described as a white male in his mid-20s with a beard and drives a silver SUV with damage to the driver’s side door.
