APD CIRT Team Arrest Fugitive After Short Stand-Off

A man wanted by local authorities is behind bars.

The Amarillo Police Department says that at 8:22 Monday night officers were given information that 28-year-old Kody Patterson, who was wanted for felony forgery, was in the area of the 300 block of North Van Buren Street.

When Law Enforcement arrived at the home they saw Patterson inside and tried calling him out but he refused.

Police later learned there were at least three other people inside the home and the APD Critical Incident Response Team was called in to assist at 10:25 p.m.

After two hours of trying to coax Patterson outside, The APD deployed a robot and after it entered the house, the fugitive walked outside on his own and was arrested.

Patterson was booked into the Potter County jail on his felony warrant.
