APD Investigating Student In Possession Of A Firearm At Local High School

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a student who brought a gun to the Tascosa High School campus.
On Tuesday May 4th, an APD Liaison Officer at the High School was made aware of a student who was in possession of a firearm.
The student was detained, and the firearm was secured with no evidence of any further threats to anyone at the school.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
