Ballot Language, Money For Globe-News On Tuesday’s Agenda
The Amarillo City Council holds its regular meeting at 3 p.m. Tuesday. There are a few interesting things of note on that agenda.
The council will consider reduced ballot language for Proposition A, the citizen initiated election called for November regarding the Sanctuary City for the Unborn, as well as Proposition D, which is the mayor and city council recall process. Both are to be on the November 5 ballot.
HUD’s Continuum of Care for Fiscal Year 2023 is expected to be authorized and awarded, that total Allocation comes to $442,438.
Also on the agenda and expected to be approved, almost $54,000 for Gate House Media Texas Holdings ll Inc. You may know it better by its DBA, The Amarillo Globe News. Last year, the City budgeted $90,000. The money is to be used for advertising by various city departments.
